Welcome to the SUMMER 2026 Semester with Sensei Sean, Sensei
Ashton, Sensei David, and Sensei Kyle. Please be sure to read all information
below, especially under "IMPORTANT NOTICE". That's where class
changes will happen, homework, events, and other changes will be. Please read
the "GENERAL INFORMATION" portion which has a “Before
Coming to Class” section, “Dojo Etiquette” section, and
the weekly schedule for each location along with the address. Included in my
signature are links to the ActivStars Athletics Website, Facebook Pages public
and private (for karate parents only), Google Classroom, and our Website (smkarate.com) with the same
information that is in the emails being sent out.

ASHTON RANCH CLASS CANCELATION
Unfortunately, due to a scheduling conflict, class at Ashton
Ranch Elementary has been canceled. We sincerely apologize for the
inconvenience. This is a rare occurrence, and we appreciate your understanding.
First and foremost, the staff and instructors would like to
say how proud we are of the students and everything they accomplished this
semester. We would prefer to recognize those accomplishments in person, so we
would like to invite all students from Thursday’s class to attend Saturday’s
class and belt ceremony at Freedom Traditional Academy.

Location: Freedom Traditional Academy
Address: 16066 N. Parkview Place, Surprise, AZ 85374
Class: 12:00–1:00 p.m.
Belt Ceremony: 1:00–2:00 p.m.
Students who are unable to attend the full class and
ceremony may still pick up their belts and certificates at Freedom Traditional
Academy on Saturday. We would prefer that belt pickups take place between 1:00
and 2:00 p.m. so that we can recognize and applaud each student as they receive
their belt. However, if you need to stop by briefly between 12:00 and 1:00
p.m., we can accommodate that as well.
Students who are unable to attend or pick up their belts on
Saturday may pick up their belts and certificates when the new semester begins
on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Ashton Ranch Elementary.
Students who prepaid or paid in full for the semester will
receive credit for the canceled class that may be applied toward the next
semester.
Please let Sherill know if you will be attending class &
ceremony this coming Saturday or just picking up and what time via text or
email.
