Hello Parents and Students!
Welcome to the Spring 2023 Semester with Sensei Joeffrey and Sensei Sean Milligan. Please read IMPORTANT NOTICE weekly. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE CHECKED-IN ONLINE AND IN-PERSON, IN ORDER TO GET A PROPER ATTENDANCE COUNT. If you have paid for the whole semester, PLEASE be sure to check-in IN PERSON with the secretaries as you arrive at the location, as well as ONLINE. ~ IMPORTANT NOTICE ~ PLEASE READ THIS PORTION WEEKLY!!! ~
ABSENCES : Parents be sure to check the Absenteeism Report at your class location to verify if your child/children have any absences. It will list the number of absences your child will need to make-up, and which weeks are missing. If there are more than 4 absences it will not list the Weeks. You may speak to any of our Parent Secretaries to find out which weeks need to be made up.

*BASIC TESTING INFORMATION
*Testing Fee : $12.00, NOT included in your class payment(s) and registration
*Testing can be paid through the APP/Website by choosing "Test" when checking in online
*Students must have perfect attendance in order to test. Please see a class secretary to find out if your student had absences to make up.
*There will be NO SPECTATORS/NO PARENT HELPERS on testing day
*Testing day/night may run a little longer than normal. We thank you for your patience.

SPARRING - 30 minutes ($3.00) ~ ASHTON RANCH (THURSDAY NIGHTS) 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM / KINGSWOOD (SATURDAYS) 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM
*A SPARRING RELEASE FORM WILL NEED TO BE SIGNED AND TURNED IN TO THE FRONT DESK.
*Open to students ranked green, blue, purple, orange, red, brown, and black belts
*Sparring is safe, light-contact, controlled fighting, which is highly recommended for students advancing in ACTIVSTARS. Students will learn how to use their techniques in actual self-defense and sports scenarios. All sparring students are required to have sparring gear.

*STUDENTS will need to be barefoot for class or use karate shoes. You can purchase them from ActivStars Athletics by using the link above.
LOCATION ETIQUETTE
*Children (infants up to age 17) that are not in our Karate Program are not allowed in the gym during class (This will be at the will of the instructor, so this may change per class)
*Only WATER is allowed in the GYM, NO other drinks or food
*Parents that would like to stay for class may sign the yellow Parent Helper sheet - please read the guidelines below
STUDENT ETIQETTE
*Students BOW before entering the gym/cafeteria
*Students will take off shoes if they do not have karate shoes, the instructor will let students know where to place their shoes
