HOMEWORK
Green Belts and Up: Practice Forward Stance
White Belts:
Practice Tying Your Belt
***For ease and speed of departure from class. Please write
down the homework on a small sheet of paper with the student’s name, sign it,
and bring it to class. It will be exchanged for a ribbon.
-If you were given a workout sheet please be sure to get it
signed! There is an attached copy of the workout sheet in case it was lost.

ASHTON RANCH DAY CHANGE – WEDENSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2025
Due to Parent/Teacher Conferences on Thursday, October 9 and
Friday, October 10, Karate has been moved to Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Same
class times, just a different day. Class will return to our regular day on Thursday,
October 23, after Dysart’s Fall Break.
Students unable to make it to the Wednesday class can do a
make-up class on Saturday, October 11, at Freedom Traditional (please see schedule
in the General Information section at the bottom of this email) or when we
return to class on Thursday, October 23, 2025, by doing back to back classes.

DYSART FALL BREAK
Please note that there will be no class on Thursday, October
16, and Saturday, October 18, due to Dysart District’s Fall Break.
Classes will resume on Thursday, October 23, and Saturday,
October 25, 2025

ACTIVSTARS ATHLETICS ONLINE CHECK-IN
Parents please be sure to create an account through the ActivStars Athletics website
or the App (available in the Google Store and Apple Store).
- Students must be checked-in online prior to coming to
class. If not, students can be marked absent without the double verification,
which is the online check-in and signature on the roster sheet.
*** If for some reason you try to check-in your child
and it says the child is not registered please contact the office at
480-571-7689. They will need to merge your account with your child’s ActivStars
Athletics information on the Fall 2025 roster. The office will need your login
and password information.***

ABSENCES
Please check the absenteeism list at the check-in desk for
absences for your student. The list will also include students that were
checked-in for class online, but did not make it to class in person. Absences
include classes missed due to late registration. If your student did not
register until the third week of class, the first two weeks of class will need
to be made up.
All absences must be made up by the following testing dates:
- Ashton
Ranch: Thursday, December 18, 2025
- Freedom
Traditional - Saturday, December 20, 2025

What to Bring:
Athlete Water Bottle - Water fountains will not be available.
Sparring Gear if participating in a Sparring & Noodle Battle events is required. STUDENTS MUST WEAR THEIR OWN CHEST GEAR, HEADGEAR, HAND PADS, FOOTPADS, MOUTH GUARD & CUP. Orange belts & above are required to have their own headgear with face protection! Students without proper sparring gear will be disqualified. ONLY ActivStars approved hand and foot pads will be allowed; boot-style foot pads and closed hand pads. No MMA gloves are allowed.
No gear is needed for Flag Sparring.

COMING TO CLASS
** Please note: if you have not created an ActivStars
Athletics account please do so.
*** If you are unable to check-in online please contact the
office (480-571-7689) to merge your account with your student's name. They will
need your login information and password.
* Parents please be sure to CHECK-IN ONLINE PRIOR TO
COMING TO CLASS every week. Check-in can be done prior to the student's
class day.
** You will not need to do this for the first
class. They were checked-in during the data entry portion of the ActivStars
Athletics roster.
** Online Check-In can be done through the ActivStars
App or on the ActivStars Athletics Website (the link is in my signature below)
* Parents please check-in with the class secretaries upon
arrival every week, and sign the roster sheet. If they are not checked-in in
person, then they will be marked absent.
** This is to ensure proper attendance for each
student
* Please be sure to read the attached Parent Helper
Guidelines if you would like to participate as a Parent Helper
* All persons aged 18 and over must sign the yellow sheet at
the check-in desk to ensure the safety of the students.
